Utility bill payments
Central Electricity Board (CEB)
Requirement: Present your current bill or account number to process your payment.
CIM
Requirement: Provide your NIC card or NIC number for identification.
Central Water Authority (CWA)
Requirement: Bring your bill or account number to facilitate payment.
Emtel
Requirement: Present your Emtel bill for quick and easy payment.
MC Vision
Requirement: Show your NIC or subscription number to complete your transaction.
Mauritius Telecom
Requirement: Submit your bill or telephone number to pay your dues.
Rogers Capital
Requirement: Provide your NIC card for verification and payment processing.
Motor vehicle licensing

- Original Registration Book (Horsepower)
- Insurance certificate / Cover Note (original or photocopy)
- If vehicle over 7 years, original Fitness Certificate
Contract car

- Three original registration book (Horsepower) and its documents

- Valid Public Service Vehicle Licence (PSVL)

Name consistency
The owner’s name on the Insurance Certificate/Cover Note must match the Vehicle Registration Book, Test Certificate, Certificate of Fitness, and the Carrier or Public Service Vehicle Licence.
Coverage period
Insurance Certificate must cover the entire renewal period of the licence.

General rules
Important guidelines for smooth processing
Expiry of motor vehicle licences
Accepted by the 16th of the current month if expiring within that month.
Cheque payments
Third-party cheques are not accepted if the drawer’s name differs from the vehicle registration book.
Car dealers can use third-party cheques for first-time registration.
All documents must be original without erasures or corrections unless signed and sealed by NLTA or the Insurance Company.
If the expiry date of the Motor Vehicle Licence is not mentioned on the Vehicle’s Registration Book, the licence will not be renewed.
