He has surrounded himself with various construction experts, who will also bring their know-how to the restoration of the Rivière-Noire post office.“As lovers of Mauritius and passionate about real estate and heritage, we felt it our duty to preserve this superb little building which is part of the architectural heritage of Rivière Noire, a region dear to our hearts. This old building is an important landmark in Rivière-Noire and we are proud to play a role in its restoration and to collaborate with this essential institution that is the Mauritius Post Ltd. I would also like to thank our consulting partners, construction professionals, who wanted to work on the project, but also the Mauritius Post Ltd for the confidence it places in us,” said Michaël Ruel, president of MJ Développement.

La Poste has planned to redevelop the public work and reception areas.

Christmas & New Year Mails 2024

Our valued customers are hereby informed that the latest dates of posting of correspondence intended for overseas destinations so as to ensure delivery

before Christmas and New Year are as follows:

Mauritius Post Ltd informs its esteemed customers and the general public that, due to a substantial increase in the volume of air parcels and small packets, combined with limited cargo space on Air Mauritius flights to Rodrigues, the regular daily dispatch of these items has been temporarily suspended.  During this period, priority will be given to EMS services and letter mail, while the transportation of parcels and small packets will be subject to delays. Customers intending to send parcels using Colipost boxes (sizes S, M, L, and XL) are advised to use the sea freight service for shipments to Rodrigues.  We would like to reassure you that all parcels, up to a maximum weight of 10 kg, will continue to be accepted via Surface Mail.
