Deepak Balgobin, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation and Hon. Shri V. Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs of India in the presence of the Prime Minister, Hon. Pravind Kumar Jugnauth and other eminent personalities during the 189th Anniversary of the Arrival of Indentured Labourers in Mauritius at the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage Site in Port Louis.

The post office will thus be relocated a few meters further during the restoration work. This renovation project, which should be completed within three months, will include a total renovation of the exterior (replacement of shingles, identical, etc.). Work on the rock walls must be carried out in order to expose this magnificent emblematic stone of Mauritius. Inside, the electrical system will be brought up to standard, a new floor covering will be put in place, a rehabilitation of the sanitary facilities is also planned. La Poste has planned to redevelop the public work and reception areas.
